Stress Awareness

Stress can sneak up on you when you least expect it. Someone cutting you off in traffic, running late to an appointment or a child needing to be picked up unexpectedly. These can all add up to make you react inappropriately. To balance these reactions and to help you respond with more civility, consider trying some of the following suggestions. Take a deep breath. Meditate. Be present to what is important. Tune in to your body’s sensations. Decompress, learn to let go. Laugh out loud or at yourself. Reach out to others. Sing or listen to music. Get moving. Be grateful. Your body has gotten you this far in life, appreciate that!
