Are you trying to figure out which exercise program will work for you if you have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia? Studies show that weight bearing activities promote bone strength. But what activities can promote bone strength without causing chances for compression fractures or bone loss? Have you considered Yoga? Yoga requires no special equipment. It can be done at any age. Classes are helpful but once you learn positions and variations, you can perform poses independently. Through static lengthened positions of yoga poses, muscle and bone are both stimulated.
