When I first came in, my face and neck were swollen and
I could hardly turn my head. Nearly all the swelling is gone now and I can turn
my head easily. I also have less pain in my leg and can go upstairs normally
instead of one step at a time. I am so pleased with the results!

My results: much greater range of motion, swelling
totally gone, no weird sensations. My skin feels normal. I feel strong and
confident about my ankle.

Seven years ago, I was a competitive athlete, and then I hurt my low back.
Determined to get better and stay active, I have seen various physical
therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors. Each helped me in some way but
the treatments never “stuck.” I would start to get back into the activities that
I loved, but then my back would go out again. I couldn’t bend over the sink to
brush my teeth, let alone get on my road bike or go for a run. Simple every day
activities were a challenge. Earlier this year I was in the worst pain I’d felt
and was considering surgery, when my orthopedist referred me to Paula. After six
months of working with Paula, I got back on my road bike. For the first time in
seven years I went for an hour-long road ride pain-free! It felt
incredible. And now I can do simple everyday tasks without pain, like bending
over to pick something up (or brush my teeth!). Most notably, the things that
normally trigger a relapse for me, like too much stress, no longer affect my
back. Paula’s treatments work and they “stick.” Working with Paula has
truly given me my life back - I only wish I’d found her sooner!

I
came in with a really stiff neck and pain that went down my shoulder and arm.
After the first visit, I could turn my head a lot further and the pain was
greatly reduced. Each visit it improves.

By
working with Barb Feller in PT, I am gaining abilities that I did not have prior
to surgery. I had compensated with other muscles for so many years that I now
realize I currently have more normal function than I had in years. I am gaining
flexion daily, but just as importantly (to me) I am finally using my hamstring,
quadriceps and hip in a normal way. I can’t remember when I had this kind of
normal motion! Yeah!!

My
arm did not respond to traditional physical therapy. My trainer, Wendy Mader
recommended Paula. After one visit, my arm was better and the tension in my neck
and shoulders was greatly reduced. After three treatments, I feel the tendonitis
is almost healed and I generally feel better overall. It is really miraculous to
me! I’ll be back.

When I came to PT my right sciatic was causing me a lot of
pain especially when I drove for more than 15 minutes. After three visits,
the pain has disappeared for the most part. I feel 100% better. NO PAIN!!

Physical therapy
has been a very good experience for me. Beth not only helped me to relieve my
immediate pain, but she showed me things to do in my everyday life to minimize
pain and keep it from returning.

I came to physical therapy with severe pain in my upper right
leg. That pain has completely gone. I have also been given instruction and
follow-up on how to alleviate the pain in the future, which was primarily caused
by stress. My experience at this facility has been very positive and I would
return in the future, if needed.

This is the best
approach and results I have ever had in physical therapy. I have been given an
understanding of my body and its reactions to stress that I believe will enable
me to manage it to a greater degree than ever before. This whole experience had
given me great hope for a positive physical future that I’ve never felt before.

When I started my
therapy, my hip was hurting daily and aching at night disrupting my sleep. It
was better after just a couple of treatments and after a few weeks of treatment,
I am virtually pain-free and feel great. I have also noticed much less tension
in my entire body.
~~ PS

Before coming to
PT, my neck and shoulders were so tight I couldn’t sleep or focus on things for
very long. Now I sleep like a teenager and wake up feeling great!

I
had rotator cuff surgery and faced 12 weeks of physical therapy. The first place
I went was not a positive experience, so I looked for another alternative. I
definitely found the right place at Performance Physical Therapy. I worked
mainly with Barb Feller and on two occasions I worked with Beth Zevenbergen.
Both are gifted physical therapists. I was treated by a very knowledgeable and
integrative staff. They immediately began to treat my physical pain but also
addressed my emotional needs regarding what turned out to be a very painful
surgery. Twelve weeks is a long time to stay motivated but their gentle way and
motivational techniques kept me coming back.
They not only do PT but also use Muscle Activation Technique (MAT) and Pain
Reflex Release Technique (PRRT). It reduces pain and allows the body a chance to
relax while doing the exercises given at home.
Pongo, the Certified
Therapy Dog also brings healing and great joy to the office environment. I am
highly recommending Performance Physical Therapy to everyone I meet.

When I came in my arms were hurting and I was unable to
lift my right arm above my head without a lot of pain. I also had pain extending
into my neck and shoulder. After therapy, I can lift my arm comfortably and my
neck and shoulders also.

Wow! My slouching
lifestyle had caught up with me and resulted in significant back pain and disc
problem. The relief I’ve gotten through physical therapy and their directed
exercises has been amazing. I now feel like I am good for a few more decades.
Beth Z is a wonderful person; great encouragement and humor; both are necessary
to make it all work, and I am lots better!

When I came, I had a lot of pain and had stopped running
as a result. Now I can run again and really feel improvement all over.
~~ SS

Feeling great!
Motion is greatly improved today. No pain!! Some stiffness, but nothing compared
to before. Barb is doing a wonderful job! Thanks!

When I came to physical therapy I was in a lot of pain. I am very thankful that I came because
I’m feeling 100 percent better. I still have a little pain, but I am sure that
with the exercises I’m doing I will be back to normal in no time. Beth was
wonderful; she did a great job.

I was sent to Paula years ago by my then-PT, who was clueless how
to help me with all the joint and back pains that come with age and still
training MA. Because I want everybody here to know about PPT, I'm happy to
manage their website and publish all the useful advice from their newsletters!
